Wow. Crazy times we're living in. It's almost unbelievable what is happening in the world, but then again, it's our reality. I hope you and your families are safe and well, and that this crisis hasn't negatively impacted your life too much.

I know it's easy to look at our current situation in a negative way, and be stressed, worried, and fearful, and yes there are a lot of changes taking place that are turning our worlds upside down, but I believe that ultimately we can control how "bad" our life seems by the mindset we choose to adopt during this time.

Personally, I have been laid off from work for at least the next 2 months and am definitely in a financial bind, and have no idea when and if I'll get my job back, how I will pay my bills, and what my future holds. And I am sure that many of you are in the same situation, if not worse.

However, while we do not have control over our life situation right now, one thing that we DO have control over is our mindset about our lives and what is happening.  That, we ALWAYS have control over. No one can take that away from us.

And believe it or, it can be more helpful than you think in healing this world because the energy we put out there in the form of our thoughts and words manifests as our physical reality.

Which is why today I wanted to share with you some key mindsets I HIGHLY recommend adopting if you want to stay sane and relatively calm during this pandemic.

Before I get into that, I wanted to mention that before anything, adopting a spiritual perspective is essential during this chaotic time.

Our human minds cannot even begin to comprehend what is happening, why it's happening, and how it's going to unfold. Our physical minds can't make sense of all this craziness.

But on a spiritual level, there is a Divine Order to everything.  And we simply just have to trust in this process.  We have to trust that behind the scenes, everything is happening as it needs to, for our own healing, for the planet's healing, and for the world's healing to take place.

This whole "world shutdown" could very well lead to a mass awakening, which we desperately need.  So even if things seem to be falling apart on the surface, trust that it is part of a Greater Plan, that will in some way, shape, or form benefit us all.

Of course, this is a mindset that you can choose to have, but you are not forced to look at it this way. But if you don't, what's the alternative?

To believe that you're going to suffer and be completely screwed?
To be scared and angry?
To be confused and worried?
To blame and be hateful?
To believe that the world is going to end?
To believe that we'll never recover from this?

If we choose to focus on this negativity, it is exactly how we will experience our reality. If we choose to look at it spiritually, that is how we will experience our reality.

So we can either experience peace and calm, or we can experience worry and anxiety, all by how we choose to look at this epidemic. The choice is always yours.

With that said, here are 3 essential mindsets to adopt during this pandemic to stay sane and calm:

1. Acceptance

Once the initial stage of shock and panic is over, and you’ve processed the bad news, and did everything in your power to improve your situation, you have to move into total and complete acceptance.

This is happening whether or not you like it. You are forced to stay home, most likely without a job or an income, and all you can do is wait out the pandemic without any certainty of the future. Accepting that this is happening in the world is a must.

And then accepting your current situation, however screwed up it is, is also a must. Why? Because it is what it is. This is where you are. There’s nothing else you can do but accept your reality. Resisting it or being in denial will just stress you out and make you go crazy.

A part of acceptance is surrendering to this situation and trusting that for some reason, you are destined to be right here, right now, living through this. On a spiritual level, your soul needs this for its evolution. Trust that.

2. Growth Mindset/Be Positive

A growth mindset is basically a mindset where you are constantly looking to learn something new or grow as a person, no matter what situation you’re in. It could be the worst situation, and with a growth mindset, you look at how you can grow from it. This also goes along with having a positive mindset and looking at your situation more positively.

So in our current crisis, the idea is to identify what potential good can come out of this situation.

For example, with all of this extra free time you have, you’ll get a chance to catch up on your “me time,” spend time with your family, call your friends, enjoy your hobbies, organize your closet, read, write, relax, sleep, start exercising, self-reflect, start cooking, start your passion project, etc. etc. Sooo much you can do with all your free time.

This is also a great time to reflect on your life and how you want your future to look. What changes do you want to make?

Also, can you imagine all the growth that’s going to come out of this and all the new things you’re going to discover about yourself?

Being away from your regular routine and your regular comforts and luxuries is going to make you do things differently, and think about life differently. And it’s going to MAKE YOU GROW.

Yes, it’s going to be painful at times. You won’t enjoy all of the emotions you’ll feel from the boredom, loneliness, fear, worry, uncertainty, and stress. But you know what? Feeling this pain is exactly what will help you grow as a person.

For example, being alone will trigger feelings of loneliness, but it’ll force you to start loving yourself and enjoy your own company. Being bored will make you feel crazy, but if you sit with your boredom for long enough, it will lead to an inner sense of stillness and peace. It will also spark your creativity to come up with new things to do. Basically, don’t be afraid of the emotional discomfort you will feel. Don’t run away from it. Let it be, and then see how it can be turned into a positive.

3. Gratitude

Instead of complaining about not having a job or money, or being bored or going crazy, or your whole life being turned upside down, or the world falling apart, get into a mindset of gratitude. I know that this is a bold invitation, but it’ll shift your world.

First of all, things could be worse. They really can. It seems as if the worst is happening right now, but it could be worse.

We could have a complete apocalypse with zero access to food, no electricity, no hot water, no homes to live in, no life, no hope. That really is the worst case scenario. So if you just remember that, then EVERYTHING IS BETTER THAN THE WORST CASE SCENARIO.

With that mindset, appreciate what you still have because it could be gone tomorrow. Things are changing so fast, that who knows what tomorrow holds. This is true for life with or without a pandemic by the way. We never know what the future holds, so always be grateful for what you have now.

When you take toll of what and who you have in your life, and then you imagine it being gone, would you miss it? If you would, then you should appreciate it no. matter. what.

What if we were living through an apocalypse? Would you miss the sound of a barking dog? Would you miss the sight of another human taking a casual walk? Would you miss walking into a grocery store and buying food that you’re going to cook later? Would you miss traffic? Would you miss the sound of kids playing? Would you miss LIFE?

I WOULD!!!!!!

These are things we take for granted. But when we look around from that perspective, everything becomes something to be treasured and appreciated.

All in all, we should all be grateful for everything we still have, because nothing is guaranteed and it could all change tomorrow. I am not saying that to instill fear in you, but to remind you that LIFE IS GOOD. Always. ❤️

Lots of love to everyone!!!
